HELLO AND WELCOME

We all face challenges throughout our lives and have the ability to grow and develop a life filled with joy and meaning.  As both an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist, I work with my clients to create the change they wish to see in their lives.

If you are looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or if you are just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

All About Art Therapy

According to the American Art Therapy Association, “Art therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.” Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my clients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with any of life’s various obstacles.

Art therapy can counteract the limitations of language because it gives voice to experience through visual and symbolic expression while engaging the mind, body, and spirit.  Through this kinesthetic, sensory, perceptual and symbolic experience, clients often experience improved self-esteem and self-awareness; access their resiliency and insight; & reduce conflict and distress.

Art therapy does not require any art experience or skill on your part. It is a unique therapeutic tool that can offer you immediate access to feelings and the means to express them in a safe manner.  The act of creating is therapeutic in and of itself, and the emphasis is on the process rather than the finished product.  Art therapy provides an opportunity for a fresh perspective on your experiences.

About Me

Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives.  This interest and a passion for creative expression led me to study psychological science and to the art therapy profession. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the greater Los Angeles area, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients and to advocating for the field of Art Therapy.  I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek.
